Announcing Realtime 2.0 with Doug Broersma
Realtime "2.0" is back in action and full speed ahead with new lead singer Doug Broersma. Doug is something of a legend in the Evergreen District of the Barbershop Harmony Society, and he is also Tim's Dad! So Realtime opens a new chapter with nothing but Metzgers and Broersmas, that is, perhaps a bit less genetic diversity, but a very bright future. Doug's official debut was last night in Seaside, Oregon, and we have video - Welcome Doug!

Life has come full circle. When I first met Doug and Tim, Tim was "Doug's son" and we all grinned a bunch as Timmy learned tag after tag singing with me and my wife Barb and the rest of the EVG gang. He couldn't get enough of it! In fact, the tag to Yesterday I Heard the Rain was one of his favorites. :)
Doug is indeed a legend in EVG, but a well-earned moniker. He is a great lead and will fit the quartet very well.
John will be sorely missed, and it's amazing to me that you'll be able to continue in spite of losing such a fabulous singer. Congrats!!
